What is Rule Engine?

The rule engine is the core part of Loyalife where all business logic around point accrual is
defined.

For example, let's consider an airline business. The example of rules for them would be:

  1. 1% as a point for every flight booked on the transaction amount
  2. An additional 1% as a point if the time in the air is more than 10 hours in a month.
  3. 100 points if the flight is booked within 24 hours for Delhi.

Note

Throughout the documentation, we would be referring to the airline business as a use-case of the loyalty program.
